HARRISBURG, Pa. — A man was arrested Thursday who police said tried to run down a probation officer with a vehicle in Harrisburg.

Garrett Hill, 41, is charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and driving while operating privileges are suspended.

Hill was seen driving along North 18th Street when he was stopped by Dauphin County probation officers around 10:20 a.m. Thursday.

When the officer asked Hill to wind down his window–he drove off and almost hit the officer, investigators said.

According to to police reports, the officer suffered a minor injury when he fell trying to move out of the way.

Police later found Hill in a home along the 1800 block of Boas Street.

Hill told police he drove away because he was smoking marijuana in the vehicle.
