DOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – David Ryan Kauffman, 18, wanted in a double stabbing in York County has been taken into custody. David Ryan Kauffman surrendered to members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force Tuesday in Lancaster County.  The stabbing happened during a party at the home of a friend that Kauffman had allegedly broken into over the weekend.

 

Following arraignment Kauffman was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.

 

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED: Police are looking for an 18-year-old man accused of stabbing two teens during a fight at a party in York County on Monday. David R. Kauffman, of Paradise, Lancaster County, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief.  The U.S. Marshals are assisting police in finding Kauffman.  Officers initially responded to the 2800 block of Carlisle Road in Dover Township for a report of two people who had been stabbed around 2:56 a.m. Police found two teens, both 19 years of age, in the parking lot with stab wounds to their torsos. The teens were taken to the hospital for treatment.  Authorities said their wounds are not life-threatening. An investigation revealed that the stabbing happened during a party at a home along the 2900 block of Hemlock Drive. According to police reports, an altercation ensued between the victims and Kauffman.  During the fight–Kauffman stabbed the victims, police said. Both Kauffman and the people attending the party fled before police arrived at the scene. Anyone with information on Kauffman’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 717-292-3647.
