EPHRATA, Pa.–Police are looking for a man accused of stealing a peacock from a vehicle at the Green Dragon Farmer’s Market in Ephrata on Friday.
It happened while the owner, who is from Carbon County, was attending a live animal auction at the market located along the 900 block of North State Street, police said.
A man approached the owner and showed interest in the peacock in his vehicle, according to investigators. The victim told police he showed the bird to the man and then returned to the auction. When the owner came back out–he noticed his peacock was missing and the man was driving away in a silver vehicle.
The peacock is valued at $50.
