MOUNT JOY, Pa - The 'Kids Joy Land' playground on Barbara Street in Mount Joy, Lancaster County was once full of laughter and fun.  Now, it's empty, with nothing left but ashes.

Three years ago, arsonists set the once popular park on fire, leaving kids in the area without a place to play.

So, people came together and formed a Rebuild Committee.

Together, they raised over $230,000 to rebuild the park.

Construction is expected to start next month, and the committee is asking for volunteers to help bring the playground back to life.

Helping hands are needed starting September 22nd through the 27th.

Volunteers will work 4 hour shifts each day, starting at 8AM.

Those on the committee are hoping for about 800 volunteers to help with the project.

If you can't make it out for the rebuild, they are also asking to borrow tools like drills, saws, levels, extensions cords, and ladders.

Those tools can be dropped off at the build site the week of September 22nd.
