People who visit the Community Action Program throughout Lancaster County have one week left to enjoy fresh produce from right outside the agency. The produce stand is there every Monday, until the end of August.
The agency works with local vendors to provide fresh produce to people who normally wouldn't have access to it.
CAP Chief Executive Officer, Dan Jurman says, "Most of the health concerns people who live in poverty find themselves up against are nutrition or lifestyle, not enough exercise, eating right, so this is a barrier in terms of creating health disparities."
You can apply for $5 vouchers to use towards produce through CAP's WIC program. WIC stands for women, infants and children.
