CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police seeking help from the public in identifying an armed robbery suspect.  It happen on August 8 at about 4:36 am at the Gulf gas station, 920 Walnut Bottom Road in South Midddleton Township.

In store surveillance photos the suspect, armed with a handgun, appears to be a young black male with a slim build, approximately 6 feet tall.  He wore a black boonie style hat with a design around it and a black bandana that covered his mouth and nose. Also a white cardigan sweater, black cargo pants, and black and white athletic shoes.

The suspected appeared to be familiar with the building.  He spoke with a soft voice and repeatedly apologized to the store clerk saying that he had a family to take care of.

The handgun displayed appeared to be medium in length with a silver square shaped upper frame and a black lower frame.  The suspect did appear to chamber a round during the robbery.

After taking some money from the register, he fled toward Garland Road in the direction of Carlisle Borough.
