MOUNT GRETNA, Pa.–A man accused of killing a woman on Monday at her specialty gift shop in Mount Gretna died Tuesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Dauphin County coroner’s office.
Patrick Derr, 47, died one day after he shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 46-year-old Stacey Pennington, of South Lebanon Township, investigators said.
After killing Pennington, Derr turned the gun on himself. He was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical where he later died.
Pennington owned the Gretna Emporium and had a protection from abuse order against Derr.
