DRYING OUT: A cold front bringing heavy afternoon rain to many areas slowly exits through the night. This translates to slowly tapering showers through the evening and overnight. Clearing takes place too late tonight. Temperatures don’t budge much through the evening and the night. Expect readings to fall into the upper 50s to middle 60s. Friday our region is in-between systems, so the sunshine is back. It’s a warmer day, with temperatures in the middle 70s to lower 80s throughout the region. The humidity is lower too, making for a comfortably warm day.
WEEKEND COOLING WITH SHOWERS: The weekend brings a return to cooler temperatures, but also shower chances. Clouds build quickly Saturday as another cold front approaches. It brings showers to our region, mainly during the afternoon hours. Showers last through Saturday night, but the brunt of the wet weather leaves by daybreak Sunday. Then, an upper level system passes over us, keeping clouds and cooler temperatures in place. There’s also the chance for a few showers, but overall it’s a much drier day. Highs Saturday are in the lower to middle 70s Saturday, and the upper 60s to lower 70s on Sunday.
SLOWLY WARMING AGAIN: The upper level disturbance slowly moves out Monday, allowing the region to slowly warm through the middle of the week. Monday features partly sunny skies, and temperatures are still in the 70s. Tuesday brings plenty of sunshine, with many locations pushing the 80 degree mark. Wednesday and Thursday the sunshine continues. Temperatures are much warmer in the lower to middle 80s, but the humidity stays low.
