NEW OXFORD, Pa. – A State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a building that housed an Adams County antique shop. The fire broke out at about 2 p.m. in the apartment above Lau’s Antique Shop and Lodging in the 100 block of Lincoln Way E. near the square in New Oxford.

The first Firefighters arriving on scene reported heavy smoke and flames pouring from the upper floor windows.

There were no injuries; several cats were reportedly rescued.
