LANCASTER, Pa. – A Lancaster City mother is charged after her 3 year old daughter is found wandering naked and alone on the street. City police responded at about 12:04 am Monday to a call from a passerby who was waiting with child in the 1100 block of Wabank Road. The child was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for a general checkup and was found to have no injuries.

At about 12:50 am, the child’s mother called 911 after discovering her daughter was missing. Investigators learned that the 22 year old mom, who lives on the block, had gone to a friend’s house in the 400 block of East Frederick Street at about 11:50 pm Sunday night, leaving her child home alone.

Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency responded and the child was turned over to foster parents. The child’s mother will be charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children.
