BRADDOCK, Pa. — A York County native who is now serving as mayor in a western Pennsylvania community says he will run for U.S. Senate.

John Fetternman announced his candidacy at an event in Braddock.

The 46-year-old Harvard grad will run on the Democratic ticket in April’s primary.

He will run against former Congressman Joe Sestak and Governor Tom Wolf’s first Chief of Staff Katie McGinty.

The winner will face Republican incumbent Pat Toomey.
