LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. –A routine traffic stop turned into a million-dollar cocaine bust in Lancaster County yesterday. State Police tried to pull over a Toyota Sequoia for a traffic violation around on Route 72 in Penn Township. But the Sequoia sped off northbound on 72. A high speed pursuit ensued through Lancaster County. While police followed, the occupants threw two large duffle bags from the vehicle. Amado Capellan, the driver of the vehicle, side-swiped two parked vehicles. Capellan eventually stopped the vehicle at a Sunoco station in Rapho Twp. and all three of the occupants were detained. Aviation assets also assisted in this pursuit.

The duffle bags were retrieved and found to contain approximately 30 kilos of cocaine with an approximate value of $1.2 million.

The criminal complaint charges Amado Capellan, 44, Jose Capellan, 35, and Rodelin Capellan, 19, all of Lebanon with felony Possession With The Intent To Deliver and felony Fleeing and Eluding. All three are lodged in the Lancaster County Prison.
