Clouds thicken Friday, with some cool breezes during the afternoon.

CLOUDS BUILD: Another beautiful, but mild and clear evening is upon the region before some changes begin to take place just in time for the weekend. The night stays mostly clear, with just some passing clouds near daySpecialbreak. It’s another cool, yet seasonably comfortable night with lows in the lower to middle 50s. Friday, winds shift to the east as high pressure drops down from the north. This easterly flow builds up moisture and brings an increase in clouds through the day. It’s still mild, with highs in the lower to middle 70s.

An easterly flow allows moisture to build in place this weekend. It keeps the region cool and cloudy.

COOL & CLOUDY WEEKEND: The easterly flow remains in place for the weekend. This keeps skies mainly cloudy on Saturday. Temperatures are seasonable in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Sunday, expect an even drearier day. There are some light showers, along with foggy and drizzly areas. Highs are stuck in the 60s.

SLOWLY WARMING: Monday the stubborn flow slowly breaks, allowing some sunshine to build back later in the day. Tuesday the sunshine is back, and so are the warmer temperatures. Highs are back to near 80 degrees by then. Our next shower chance is likely coming Wednesday. Skies clear out by Thursday, with another cool burst of fall air working into the region.

Have a great night!
