STEWARTSTOWN, Pa.–A Shrewsbury man has been charged in connection to the drug overdose death of a 33-year-old man, police said.
Nicholas A. Wernick, 25, is charged with drug delivery resulting in death and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was arraigned on Sept. 24 and taken to York County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Pasquale Neri, 33, of Stewartstown, was found dead inside his apartment on Aug. 26 from a heroin overdose, according to police. Investigators said Neri received the heroin which caused his death from Wernick, his co-worker.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 28.
