SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa.– A minimum-security inmate has escaped from the York County Prison work-release facility.

Around 11:30 Friday night, corrections officers reported that 22-year old Jessie Allen Spangler, who was last seen in the facility’s recreational yard, was no longer on the premises. Officers searched, but were unable to locate Spangler.

It’s believed he escaped by climbing a chain-link fence that surrounds the building,┬álocated on Concord Road across from the main prison. Spangler, of Manchester, was reportedly wearing a chocolate brown prison jumpsuit with short sleeves. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation and the search for Jessie Spangler.
