YORK COUNTY, Pa. – No students were injured in a crash late Friday afternoon involving a school bus and a Dodge pickup in York County. It happened at about 4 pm on York Haven Road near the intersection of Whisler Road, in Newberry Township.

Township Police say there were no injuries among the 20 students on board the school bus.  The driver of the pickup was entrapped and had to be extracted from the vehicle.  He was taken by ambulance to York Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation shows the driver of the pickup struck the rear of the school bus and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Newberry Township Police say their investigation continues.
