YORK, PA. -- Police say the suspect in several bank robberies in the area is also the suspect who stole a car this morning in Cumberland County and crashed into a house in York City this afternoon. Lower Allen Township Police say Scott Tilden stole a Volkswagen Golf at the Gulf Station in the 1500 Block of Cedar Cliff Dr. around 10:51 a.m. The car was left running at the gas pumps. The owner suffered injuries to his knees and elbows.

Police knew Tilden as the suspect in several bank robberies in Central Pennsylvania. Upper Allen Township Police found the vehicle a short time later and began a short pursuit.
