UPDATE: The York County Coroner’s office has released the name of the victim killed in Saturday afternoon’s crash in Chanceford Township.

18-year old Hunter Kinard, of Airville, was killed when he crashed into a tree. Investigators say Kinard was the only person involved in the one-car accident. His Hyundai crashed head-on into the tree on Furnace Road, just southeast of Shanks Ferry Road.  Kinard died at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma.

The coroner’s office says Kinard was not wearing a seatbelt. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash and the airbags deployed.

There will be no autopsy; PA State Police are investigating.
