HARRISBURG, Pa. - Folks spent the day hopping in the birthplace of a popular local craft brewing company!

Thousands packed Harrisburg for the 2nd Annual Troeg's Hop Dash, Saturday.

The YMCA presented the event.

Participants took part in a 5K race across the city, starting from the back of the Capitol building, over the State Street Bridge, and ending at the Capitol Stairs.

After the race, runners took their chances at winning some prizes.

They were also treated to two post-race beers, compliments of Troeg's Brewing Company, of course!

Participants also received a free beer koozie, t-shirt, and a finisher medal.

The race was held in Hershey in 2014, where the Troeg's brewery is currently located.

However, with more people wanting to take part, it was moved to Harrisburg.

Organizers say the Hop Dash is the perfect way to enjoy a nice Fall day!
