PIKE TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A man is dead after his vehicle crashed into a tree Berks County. It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Pike Township. Police say 22-year-old Oliver Kindig-Stokes was traveling south near the intersection of Lovachsville and Old Boyer Road when he somehow lost control of the 1990 Volvo, drove through a nearby wooden fence, and struck a tree. Kindig-Stokes had to be extricated from the car by mechanical means.

He was later transported to Reading Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
