MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A new store is coming to Lancaster County and residents are pretty excited about it. Plans are in the works to build a Wegmans in Manheim Township by Long’s Park. According to Pennlive.com, the New York-based supermarket chain is expected to be the anchor of the proposed ‘The Crossings at Conestoga Creek,’ located on the Harrisburg Pike, east of Route 30. The development will also include stores, apartments, and hotels.

The goal is to have the store up and running by 2018. There are 16 Wegmans locations in Pennsylvania. The grocery store is known for its fresh produce, take-out, sushi and healthy food at low prices. The chain is less reliant on big brands, and instead sells house-owned private brands to control their prices.
