HARRISBURG, Pa. — State Senate leaders announced the formation of a bipartisan special committee to investigate whether Attorney General Kathleen Kane should be removed from office.
The 6-person panel has 30 days to investigate whether Kane can do her job without her law license, which was suspended last week.
The full senate will then determine whether to hold a hearing with Kane, and whether to vote to remove her from office.
Kane is facing criminal charges for leaking secret grand jury testimony and lying to cover it up.
