The remnants of Patricia bring rain to our region Wednesday.

A soaking rain is expected through Wednesday, with a few thunderstorms possible later in the day and during the evening.

Winds turn very breezy on Wednesday.

MIDWEEK RAIN: A good soaking is knocking on our doorstep. Showers arrive this evening and become a steady rain through the night. Expect a sloppy morning commute Wednesday, with periods of rain through the early afternoon. The activity slowly becomes more scattered in nature. A late day thunderstorm or two is possible. Damaging winds are a threat, even an isolated tornado, so we’ll watch closely for severe weather into the evening hours. Overnighseveret Wednesday the rain comes to end. One to two inches of rainfall is possible. Showers exit by daybreak on Thursday. It’s a partly cloudy and breezy day. Highs are in the middle to upper 60s on Wednesday, and then highs are in the middle to upper 60s Thursday.

WEEKEND DRYING: By Friday and Saturday, the sunshine is back. Another chilly air mass arrives too. This knocks high temperatures into the lower to middle 50s. The Halloween forecast looks dry and seasonably chilly for now! Sunday is a bit milder, and it’s a bit cloudier too.

NEXT WEEK: Our next chance for showers is Monday. It’s a fast moving system, so skies clear during the second part of the day. Tuesday brings yet another chance of showers. Expect high temperatures in the lower 60s both days.

Have a great night!
