CORNWALL BOROUGH, Pa.–Police in Lebanon County are investigating a residential burglary and home invasion.

It happened along the 600 block of Aspen Lane in Spring Hill Acres in Cornwall Borough between noon and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said a man initially knocked on the front door of the home. When the 101 year-old female resident didn’t come to the door, the man walked to the back of the home and gained entry by “shouldering” a rear door and splintering the door jam.

The suspect encountered the homeowner in the living room, muttered a name and then went upstairs, according to police reports. The man stole a jewelry case and a dresser drawer containing cash, passports and personal papers.

The suspect returned downstairs, made another comment to the homeowner and then fled out the front door. The woman was not hurt.

Police believe the same man may be responsible fro a similar burglary that happened on Monday in Northwood Estates in West Cornwall Township.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cornwall Borough police at 717-274-2071 .
