Flooding forces Scott Elementary School in Harrisburg to close Thursday

HARRISBURG, Pa.–The Harrisburg School District announced Wednesday that because of heavy rains and flooding–Scott Elementary School will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The school is located along the 1900 block of Derry Street in Harrisburg.

The Capital Area Head Start classes at this location and the EXPLORE After School Program are also cancelled for tomorrow.

School administrators said they are working to resolve the flooding issues.

All classes are expected to resume Friday.
