Officers were called to North 3rd and Herr Street for an attempted abduction around 10:45 a.m.

Police met with a 36-year-old woman who told police that a man grabbed her arm and tried to throw her into a vehicle. The victim was able to break free from the suspects grasp and yell for help. Several witnesses attempted to make contact with the suspect–but he drove away, police said.

The description of the suspect is very limited.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white male with a gray beard. He was last seen driving away in a gold colored SUV, possibly a Chevy.

The woman was not hurt.
