Caregiver accused of stealing over $9K from 87-year-old woman in Dauphin County

LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–An arrest warrant has been issued for a caregiver who police say forged checks belonging to the elderly woman she was supposed to be looking after in Dauphin County, according to Lower Paxton Township police.

Regina M. Carney, 54, of Harrisburg, is charged with 29 counts of forgery.

Police said Carney cashed numerous forged checks totaling over $9,000. The money was taken from an 87-year-old woman who Carney was helping care for.
