Michael Alan Sweeney, age 31 of 616 Linden Ave in York, is charged with Robbery, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property. Police say Sweeney robbed the store with a fake gun Sunday evening. After he ran out of the store, he ran through a neighboring yard and was bitten by a dog. He got into a waiting van where he was confronted by the dog’s owner, Tim Luckenbaugh. Sweeney allegedly pointed the fake gun at Luckenbaugh, who managed to knock it away.
Investigators are still attempting to identify and locate the driver of the get away van. The van has been located.
