LEBANON, Pa- Lebanon police are investigating a car-jacking that occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of North 11th Street.

A 75-year-old woman told police, when she parked her car to walk her dogs, a man approached her from behind and  pointed a semiautomatic handgun at the woman and told her he was taking her car.

Investigators say the keys were already in the car and the man drove North on 11th Street then North on Route 72.

The car that was taken is a two door 2007 silver/ light grey in color Chevrolet Cobalt with PA registration.

Police are describing the carjacker as a Hispanic or Asian male, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and baseball-style hat.

The woman was not injured during the robbery police said.

Then just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday, fire crews were called to the 200 block of Van Buren Street for a car fire.

Police say the car had significant damage due to the fire and they do believe it is the victims car. No other property was damaged as a result of the fire.
