CLEVELAND, OH – Thirteen years ago Julian Hernandez’s mother reported him missing when he never showed up to his Birmingham, Alabama preschool.

Julian’s father Bobby Hernandez was responsible for dropping him off.

Police suspected Julian was taken by Bobby as a non-custodial parent abduction.

Julian was found alive and well some 700 miles away in Ohio on Sunday, Cleveland’s FOX 8 reported.

The Jefferson County District Attorney in Alabama told WVTM that Bobby and Julian were living under different names in Cleveland. When Julian, now 18, began applying to colleges, he learned the Social Security number that his father gave him could not be verified.

With help from his school counselor, Julian found himself on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children database. That’s when the FBI got involved.

Bobby Hernandez is now facing charges in both Ohio and Alabama in connection with the abduction.
