YORK, Pa. - Friday night the Walmart in East York was filled with makeshift elves buying toys for kids at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.
“Very emotional. Very fun. We get to spend all the money we have worked all year for," said Beth Mactavish from York County Harley Davidson Owner's Association.

Mactavish says the Owner's Association started taking kids in the hospital toys nineteen years ago.

"It was just 12 motorcycles and a handful of presents," she said.

"They would literally bring them out, you know the IV stands were there. Everybody was crying; the kids, the parents, the bikers, I'll never forget those days," said Steven Stambaugh of YCHDOA.

Friday they were  shopping specifically for 34 kids. A lot of the presents that they bought will be given to kids throughout the entire year.

Even Miss New Jersey, Lindsey Giannini participated in the shopping.

“We got Legos and we got Nerf guns and Playdough and all the things the kids want and it really was a wonderful experience," she said.

Registration for the actual ride will begin at 10:00 Saturday morning the in the Sam's Club parking lot. It is $5.00 a rider.  All money raised will go directly to help the kids.
