HARRISBURG, Pa. - The National Association for the Preservation of Skin Art formed about a month ago. Their goal is to give people a way to preserve loved ones tattoos after they die. As per their website they say:

"Whether you have spent countless hours and large sums of money on your tattoos or you have a few especially meaningful pieces, the labor and stories behind your tattoos can now carry on for future generations to experience. NAPSA provides a safe, professional, and easy way of preserving tattoo art. By joining NAPSA you can immortalize your legacy for your loved ones or donate your preserved tattoo to NAPSA to be a part of our ever growing collection.

NAPSA’s collection of preserved tattoos is always increasing to include more impressive tattoos and memorable tattoo stories. Take a glance through the current gallery to learn more about our featured art. "

Tattoo artists in Harrisburg agree tattoos are a form of art. Bob Treat from Red beard Ink says he feels it would be awesome to have his tattoos preserved after his demise.

No one from Pennsylvania has joined NAPSA yet.
