LEBANON, PA- Lebanon city  police were called to the 100 block of South Third Street just after 6 p.m. Friday for a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived, a woman told police that her husband, 60-year-old Richard Mase had been drinking and got angry when she refused to give him her prescription pain medication.

The woman said that Mase choked and punched her before she was able to escape the home and call police.

She told police that Mase had several guns in the residence and had made threats against responding police.

When police officers made contact with Mase through a window, he threatened to shoot and kill any officer who entered his residence to arrest him.

Police say  they then heard Mase load a round into a gun and make more threats.

Officers secured the area and requested the Lebanon County Emergency Services Unit.

Police said they heard two gunshots from inside the home, about 15 minutes apart.

A police negotiator was able to talk Mase into exiting the back of the house where police were able to take him into custody.

Mase is now being charged  with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.

He was arraigned and is in Lebanon County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Investigators said the rounds fired inside the home did not exit house.
