14 displaced in York City row home fire

YORK CITY, Pa.--A fire that tore through a York City row home early Monday morning was caused by discarded smoking materials, according to fire officials.

Flames broke out shortly before 5:45 a.m. along the 600 block of Dallas Street. The fire started in unit 606 along Dallas Street and spread to 604 and 610, fire officials said.

The Red Cross is assisting 14 people who were displaced in the fire.

No one was hurt.
