Man pleads guilty to threatening ex, fleeing from police in Lancaster County

LANCASTER, Pa. — A New Providence man plead guilty Friday to contacting his ex-girlfriend over 75 times in one day and then fleeing from authorities earlier this year, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office.

Jeremy D. Neuhauser, 37, plead guilty Friday to fleeing from police, making terroristic threats and harassment, in exchange for a 1 1/2-to-3-year prison sentence.  A Lancaster County judge also ordered Neuhauser to pay $30,000 in restitution for damages to police vehicles and property at Manheim Auto Auction.

Prosecutors said Neuhauser called and texted his ex-girlfriend repeatedly on July 6 and July 7. During one of the phone calls, Neuhauser threatened to kill his ex, police said. When Lancaster City police attempted to take him into custody–Neuhauser fled from police through multiple jurisdictions.

The entire chase spanned 10 miles and lasted approximately 17 minutes, prosecutors said.

He was eventually captured at Manheim Auto Auction after a brief foot chase.
