Man charged in 10 robberies in Chester and Lancaster counties

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A 23-year-old man was arrested for a rash of robberies targeting Family Dollar and Dollar General stores in Chester and Lancaster counties since January 2015, according to Pennsylvania State Police reports.

Authorities charged Tyree D. Homes, of Coatesville, with robbery, theft and related charges.  He was arraigned and taken to Lancaster County Prison.

Investigators believe Homes was responsible for ten armed robberies. Police said the incidents include:

Jan. 14:  Dollar General located along the 5300 block of Lincoln Highway in Salisbury Twp., Lancaster Co.

May 18, July 11 and Sept. 10: Family Dollar along the 1800 block of Lincoln Highway in Caln Twp., Chester Co.

Sept. 21: Dollar General located along the 5300 block of Lincoln Highway in Salisbury Twp., Lancaster Co.

Sept. 29: Dollar General located along the 3300 block of Lincoln Highway in Paradise Twp., Lancaster Co.

Oct. 2: Dollar General located along the 1600 block of Lincoln Highway in East Lampeter Twp., Lancaster Co.

Oct. 24: Family Dollar along the 1800 block of Lincoln Highway in Caln Twp., Chester Co.

Nov. 1: Dollar General located along the 3300 block of Lincoln Highway in Paradise Twp., Lancaster Co.
