CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – A 6 week old infant hospitalized with severe injuries allegedly caused by his father died last week. Pennsylvania State Police say the child died on November 12 at about 3 pm at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The child’s father John Tyler Howard-Bee, 22, of Carlisle was arrested on November 16 and charged with 1st and 2nd degree Criminal Homicide. Howard-Bee is being held without bail at the Cumberland County Prison.
According to police Howard-Bee admitted to shaking and striking the infant causing traumatic physical injuries. The baby was found unresponsive in his crib. He has suffered multiple broken ribs, skull fractures, broken bones and swelling on the brain.
