LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Harrisburg area doctor is facing charges after he hid a cell phone in an employee bathroom last month, according to the criminal complaint.

David Todoroff, 57, a doctor at Keystone Podiatric Medical Associates, is charged with five counts of invasion of privacy. He was arraigned on Nov. 20 and has since posted $25,000 bail.

The investigation came to light on Oct. 26 when a female employee at the practice’s Paxtonia Foot & Ankle Center, located at 6100 Old Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township, discovered a hidden cell phone recording in the employee bathroom, court documents state.  The cell phone was in a sock, inside a shoe which was propped up by an empty wallet.

When confronted by the founder of the practice, Todoroff admitted to putting the cell phone in the bathroom for the past few weeks, according to the criminal complaint. Todoroff explained he would look at the videos and then delete them.

Police obtained a search warrant and seized Todoroff’s cell phone and two laptop computers. A forensic analysis of Todoroff’s cell phone found four videos showing four employees using the bathroom, according to court documents.

Todoroff has been placed on indefinite leave at the practice.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 5.
