Steelton man arrested on escape, drug charges

STEELTON, Pa. – On Saturday November 11, Steelton Borough Police responded to call in the 500 block of North Front Street for a man who was believed to be smoking synthetic marijuana.

Officers were advised that the suspect was Gregory Nix Jr. and that he was wanted by the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas for a warrant. The warrant that was issued was for dangerous drugs.

Officers arrived, made contact with Nix and told him that he was under arrest. Upon hearing that Nix attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended about a block later.

Police found that Nix was in possession of synthetic marijuana that goes by the street name “Space”. He was taken to the Dauphin County Judicial Center on charges of Escape, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
