Many shelter animals find homes in time for the holidays

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Harrisburg Humane Society held an animal adoptathon on Saturday. Adoption fees were lowered with the hope more pets would find homes. It worked!All of the kittens were adopted. All but a hand full of dogs were placed on hold with applications in for them. There are still a few bunnies and adult cats available. In total, there were 19 adoptions completed and 41 applications filed. An application was even filed for Zeva, a cat that has been at the shelter for three years!
