1205Forecasted Highs Tomorrow With Madis

Forecast highs for Sunday are in the low 50s, cooler to areas north and west.

SUNNY AND MILD TREND: We are setting a trend for sunny and mild conditions over the past few weeks, and we continue that trend into the week ahead! High pressure will hold its coverage over the mid-Atlantic through the remainder of the weekend and into the start of the week. This allows us to enjoy another round of mostly sunny skies. Temperatures warm above average with highs in the low 50s on Sunday and Monday.

SO CLOSE: We’ve been watching an area of low pressure that is likely to develop just to our south and then track off the coast Monday and Tuesday. This stays far enough to our south and east, so we continue to stay dry heading into midweek. Expect a few extra clouds to hang around Monday evening/night.

ANY CHANCE FOR SHOWERS? Clouds begin to increase through the latter half of the week as a weak disturbance approaches from the west by Thursday. For now things look dry, however, there may be enough moisture with this system that we squeeze out a few widely scattered showers, mainly during the overnight period Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. Temperatures on Wednesday will reach into the upper 40s, and a bit warmer on Thursday in the low 50s.

The week ahead is mainly dry with high temperatures most days in the 50s

We continue the rest of the week with highs a few degrees above seasonable averages in the 50s. Enjoy the sunny and mild December weather!
