LEBANON, Pa. – Police arrested a Steelton man after they say he hit a school official during a high school girls basketball game.

Kelly Spearwood, 38, of Steelton, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a school official, which is a felony.

Spearwood hit Lebanon Catholic Athletic Director Michael Miller, 63, knocking him to the ground and causing him to strike his head on a wooden floor, police said.

Miller was transported to a local hospital, but his injuries do not appear serious.

According to police, Miller told them he asked a disorderly fan from Steelton, Spearwood, to leave the game before he was hit.

The game was called by school and game officials.

Steelton is currently awaiting arraignment in Lebanon County Central Booking.
