NORTH MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–One person is dead after a pickup truck crashed into a home in Cumberland County.

It happened along the 100 block of Cranes Gap Road in North Middleton Township shortly before 10:30 a.m. A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado crashed into the living room of a home. Police say  ½ of the vehicle was inside the living room. The truck was traveling west on Marilyn Drive when the operator failed to negotiate a turn, jumped a curb and continued down an embankment crossing Cranes Gap Road. The vehicle continued through the front yard of the residence and struck the front of the house. The operator of the vehicle was deceased at the scene. The Cumberland County Coroner’s Office responded and will be investigating to determine the manor/cause of death.
