Police investigate Lancaster Township homicide

LANCASTER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A 26-year-old Lancaster man died Saturday after he was assaulted in Lancaster County, police said.

Officers responded to the Lancaster Green Apartments in Lancaster Township for a reported assault around 1:25 p.m. Police found Anthony C. Hunter Jr. near the 1600 block of Judie Lane with injuries to his head. He was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he later died.

An autopsy performed Monday showed Hunter died as the result of trauma to his head. The Lancaster County coroner’s office ruled Hunter’s death as a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
