Video shows woman stealing wallet at Lancaster post office

LANCASTER, Pa.–Authorities have released security footage showing a woman stealing a wallet from a post office in Lancaster city.

It happened Dec. 3 at the post office located at 48 W. Chestnut Street around 10 a.m. Police said the theft occurred after the victim accidentally left her wallet on the counter.

The female suspect is seen on security footage entering the post office and walks right up to the counter where the wallet is lying.  The video shows the suspect grabbing the wallet.

A few moments later, the victim walks back into the post office and asks the suspect if she has seen her wallet. The woman denied seeing it and leaves.
