UPDATE: The York County Coroner’s office has released the name of the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash in Newberry Township on Sunday night.
52-year old David Lawyer, of Middletown, Dauphin County, died after being thrown from the Harley Davidson that he was operating. The coroner’s office says Lawyer failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. He died from blunt force trauma.
A female passenger who was riding with Lawyer suffered minor injuries. Newberry Township Police are still investigating.

NEWBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A Dauphin County man is dead after a motorcycle accident in York County. It happened just before 4:30 p.m. at Pines and Red Mill Roads in Newberry Township. Authorities say a 52-year-old man from Middletown was ejected from the motorcycle he was driving.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A female passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident.
There’s no word on what caused the crash.
The victim’s name has not been released.
