Franklin County man charged in fatal shooting

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police make an arrest in an early morning homicide and robbery in Franklin County. Troopers responded just before 1 am Monday to the 100 block of Quarry Road, Guilford Township, for a report of shots fired.  When they arrived on the scene they found Deval Green, 33, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Green may have been the victim of a robbery. He was taken to Chambersburg Hospital where he died from his wounds.

Investigations believe that Green was specifically targeted. Late Monday afternoon, Tyree Swindell, 23, was taken into custody without incident.

According to court papers Swindell is charged with, Homicide, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Homicide, Robbery, Burglary and Theft.  State Police say their investigation into the case continues.
