Truck hits I-83 overpass in Springettsbury Twp., loses load

SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Crews are working to clean up a mess along East Market Street in York County after a truck hit the Interstate 83 overpass and lost part of its load.

It happened along East Market Street near North Belmont Street in Springettsbury Township just before 9 a.m.

Police said a truck lost the load it was carrying when it went under the I-83 overpass and hit the bridge.

One lane of East Market Street remains open as crews work to clean up the mess.
