Mexican citizen indicted for illegally re-entering the United States

HARRISBURG, Pa – A federal grand jury in Harrisburg has indicted Manuel Valadez-Mirales, for illegally re-entering the United States after having been previously deported.

According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, Valadez-Mirales, a 46 year old Mexican national, was deported in 2003 and illegally re-entered the United States at some point prior to November 13, 2015.
The matter was investigated by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) and Removal Operations (ERO) and the case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott R. Ford.


The maximum penalty under federal law is 2 years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
