LANCASTER COUNTY, PA- A Lancaster County man is being accused of  beating his girlfriend’s 6-year-old daughter, causing her multiple injuries, including bleeding on the brain.

According to Lancaster County DA,  Anthony Dickersheid injured the girl inside a Denver home along School Court on Oct. 14.

According to court documents, on Oct. 16, doctors at Hershey Medical Center evaluated the girl and determined she had suffered the following injuries:

– Intracranial hemorrhage
– Subdural hematoma
– Extensive bruising
– Avulsed maxillary central incisors
– Right hemotympanum
– Left raccoon eye
– Bilateral ballet sign
– Scalp swelling

Investigators said the child told investigators that Dickersheid threw her off a bed onto the floor.

Dickersheid hasn’t admitted to beating the girl. However, he confirmed to police that he had sole custody of the child when the injuries were inflicted, the District attorneys office said.

The child’s mother told investigators that her daughter was not hurt before she left for work on the night of Oct. 14.

Dickersheid faces a felony count of aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and endangering a child.

Dickersheid was arraigned Tuesday, Dec. 15. His bail was set at $50,000, which has not been posted.

The little girls is now home recovering from her injuries.
